About Us

“Churches Doing More Together” As noted in the 'official' ARVBA brochure, "Associations have been in existence in America since 1707 when the Philadelphia Baptist Association was formed. The founding principles were, (1) Preserving "Baptist Doctrine and Traditions" (2) Promoting Fellowship and cooperation between local Baptist Churches and (3) A common desire for evangelism and missions. "
The thirty four churches that currently make up the Arkansas River Valley Baptist Association are as dedicated to those founding principles as were the first group of congregations to identify themselves with such a title. We work closely with each other, our State Convention and our National Denominational entities to proclaim the good news of Christ’s salvation! The ARVBA is comprised of churches in Pope, Yell, Logan, and Johnson counties. Our Statement of Faith is summed up in the Southern Baptist’s “Baptist Faith and Message
